PlanWimbledon held its Annual General Meeting on the 15th of February 2021. It was good to see a high turnout with 50 people attending the Zoom call.

At that meeting, the new Steering Committee was signed off, and the go-ahead was given to apply to Future Merton for designation as a neighbourhood forum and area. We can now confirm that the submission for designation was delivered on 18^th February 2021.

Once it has passed through the necessary legal checks, our application will be in a process of presentation to various committees. This is likely to take some time. We will be keeping you updated of its progress. You will be able to view the PlanWimbledon application on this website shortly – just as soon as we hear back from Merton Council that it has successfully cleared legal scrutiny.

We took the opportunity of the AGM to update on PlanWImbledon’s responses to the government’s White Paper on planning reform (Planning for the Future) and Merton Council’s draft local plan.
