PlanWimbledon members have expressed their support for the submission of a new application.

July 2021 Update

1. The public consultation about PlanWimbledon’s application to be designated as Neighbourhood Forum for the proposed Area came to a close on Monday 24 May 2021. Results of the public consultation have been published on Merton’s website here.

May 2021 Update

The public consultation about PlanWimbledon’s application to be designated as Neighbourhood Forum for the proposed Area has run from 12 April – 24 May 2021.

March 2021 Update

Our application has successfully passed the necessary legal checks. It has also received unanimous recommendation from the Borough Plan Advisory Committee of 4 March 2021 for the Cabinet to consider public consultation. On 22 March 2021, the Cabinet signed our application off for Future Merton to start a public consultation.

February 2021 Update

On 22 February 2021, PlanWimbledon applied to London Borough of Merton for designation as a neighbourhood forum for the proposed area.

It now needs to be signed off by various committees before going before Cabinet on 22 March 2021. We want to gain their agreement to go to public consultation on the proposed neighbourhood area which would happen during April/May.

January 2021 Update

It is now one year since our Inaugural General Meeting, and we will be announcing our AGM very shortly. Due to restrictions on social mixing, the meeting will take place via Zoom.

In advance of this meeting, the current steering committee will all stand down and we will be holding elections for the key offices of Chair, Secretary and Treasurer as well as (up to) 9 additional seats as committee members.
